Thanks for enquiring about Assistance Dog Access Rights

The Commonwealth Disability Discrimination Act 1992, describes an Assistance Animal as a dog which has been specially trained “to alleviate the effects of the handler’s disability” and “to meet the standards of Hygiene and Behaviour expected of such an animal in a public place”

IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO ASK A HANDLER ANY INFORMATION REGARDING THEIR DISABILITY AND A HANDLER IS NOT REQUIRED TO DISCLOSE ANY SUCH INFORMATION

Any Canine wearing the Canine Assist Jacket, has been tested to meet the standards by a professional trainer within Canine Assist, and is fully insured via Public Liability to conduct the tasks in a public setting that it is trained to do
